10 years! It is so hard to believe it’s been that long.
A decade ago I was overstressed, over caffeinated, under nutritioned, seeing stars in my eyes and in bed with debilitating migraines.
I went to every doctor imaginable- from a neuro surgeon to an acupuncturist – trying to get answers. When a doctor suggested I go on a daily anti-seizure medication I knew I needed to get to the root of the problem instead of just treating the issue.
With my own research and the help of a naturopathic doctor, my last resort was giving up beloved bread, beer and pasta. I stopped having migraines immediately.
While I wish I had an official diagnosis, my body and symptoms don’t lie. It is still a struggle some days but it has become so much easier to live a gluten free life than it was 10 years ago!
I’m grateful for this community, knowing I’m not alone on this journey and love helping GF friends find amazing things to eat! And I love learning too. So thank you for your support and cheers to our gluten free beers 🍻
