Girls night out idea: Wine Girl Scottsdale

If you’ve been to Old Town Scottsdale lately, chances are you’ve probably spotted a group of women walking in wigs and boas – or maybe sparkly cowboy hats and boots. They were more than likely en route to Wine Girl Scottsdale.

Scottsdale has become one of the top bachelorette party destinations in the United States, and Wine Girl is a must-do on the celebratory agenda. Outside the white-and-pink-hued bar, a big chalkboard lists the name of every bride visiting that day. Inside, groups of bridesmaids and other women celebrate each other. A birthday girl from Gilbert congrats a bride visiting from Kentucky. A maid of honor from Michigan asks if she can take another group’s photo.

The photo opportunities are a major draw to Wine Girl Scottsdale. Neon signs, flowers, quotes on the walls and the bright, open vibes of the place lend the perfect props and lighting for an Instagram-friendly moment.

The Wine Girl Scottsdale menu boasts nine red wines and seven white varietals by the glass–in 3-, 6- or 9-oz. pours–or by the bottle. A few of the white wines are poured from the Wine Girl tap, but the majority of the beverage menu includes wines by the bottle. A small choice of beers, hard kombuchas and hard seltzers are for those who don’t drink wine.

In addition to beverages, Wine Girl Scottsdale also offers a selection of appetizers like the artichoke dip with crostini, a variety of flatbreads and a charcuterie board.

One of the biggest highlights of the wine bar is the wine-related merchandise for sale, covering the entire back wall of the bar. It’s nearly impossible to pass up purchasing a colorful beaded coin purse or a crop top that says “Champagne Gang,” especially after a few glasses of prosecco.

Wine Girl Scottsdale is open seven days a week, with half-off select bottles Monday through Wednesday. It also hosts special events, like the monthly Wine Girl Drag Brunch for $25 a person.
